Dog is a replacement for COMMAND.COM that comes with *DOS.

DOG is written in C and assembler with i8086 as the target platform. It runs currently on any DOS version compatible with at least version 3.3 of M$-DOS.

It has been tested on M$-DOS 3.3, 6.22, 7.0, 7.1 DR-DOS 7.03 FreeDOS 1.1.25, Windows NT DOS-box. DOG will still need development, but recently I've been distracted from this project.
