Ropecon 2005

This year in ropecon a GM is only allowed to register for Max 2 games. So be it. There is a bunch of other things, I might attend, or perhaps I'll join a game as a player, that might be a nice change.

The two adventures I'm going to GM are called They are changers! and Murazor's cruel cache. Both are relatively standard fantasy RPG adventures.

Ropecon 2004

I planned to hold 3 games in Ropecon 2004: Animals: Revenge!, Dawn of the Darklords and Dragonhunt!

The first game did not spark any interest. Lucky for me I tested it in Tyrmä before Ropecon, so I actually got to play it (: It featured some cats and ferrets, who were caught in a burning home. When they got out they realized that their owner was also trapped in the house. They managed to rescure their owner, and even found out that the horrible man from next door had started the fire. The next they the gang managed to hint the cop-dogs and the bad guy was caught. (:

The second game (Dawn of the Darklords) stared Banedon and his 2 friends. Banedon got an important message to deliver to the Kai-Lords. On his journey they faced hoards of Giaks and Gourgaz, and even a Helghast! Finally they managed to reach the Monastery, and were met by Lone Wolf, who received the message. Unfortunately they arrived a bit late, the Kai-Monastery had been over-run. One of my regular PC:s showed up to this game, Since it is in the future from the regular campaign I decided that he had it as a dream (of premenition).

The third game was fully booked. For some reason the game fills up immediately when I state that I will use RM2 rules. (; Well the set-up was very simple. A bunch of Semi-spell users and Arms users were hired to kill off an old Fire dragon (using EC rules). Long story short, they were toasted!

Ropecon 2003

I held 3 games at ropecon 2003. In 2 of them I tested my Animals system, it did spark some interest.

The first adventure "animals on the run" started with one player (A GM who didn't get any players) from the table next to me. We decided to play Animals. He was a lab rat called "Oppenheimer" He escaped from a lab, and got into the sewers. There he was captured by the minions of the Rat-king.
In the jail there he met a bunch of other animals. Together they managed to flee from the rat-king, and out into the freedom. Oppenheimer was very happy. (:

The second Animals game involved some forest animals. Animals were dying mysteriously all over the forest. A band of brave animals were sent to investigate. To make a long story short they discovered that a bunch of humans were spreading poison to the forest, and they decided to scare them away, and succeeded in doing so.

The Night adventure "The minions of Sauron" stared some evil captains in Saurons army just after the destruction of the ring. They decided to flee towards Dol Guldur and seek refuge there. They were however chased by some Good guys (Some Dunedain elves, and a dwarf). They barely managed to flee to Dol Guldur, and almost died in the traps there.

Conklaavi 2004

I decided to have 2 games at Conklaavi 2004 Planet PT-239a54 (hard Sci-Fi) and A journey in the dark. Well to the first game I got six players. I originally intended to use the "Expendables" rules, but due to bad luck I got the rules only on the morning of the day that the game was supposed to be held, so I used Star Wars D6 rules instead. It worked out great. We played for 7 hours and rolled the dice 2 times. (:
